Our Horses

We have a good selection of beautiful horses and ponies, chosen specifically for their experience, safety and temperament. We hire some of our horses from North Cheshire Equestrian Centre, and have three of our own: Tyson, Bobby and Hector.

Tyson

Born: 2001

Height: 14.2hh

Black Gypsy Cob Gelding

Tyson came to Pegasus on a long term loan basis in 2022. Tyson is one of our largest, weightbearing horse, although will happily look after the little ones too. Although he is 21, his shows no sighns of slowing down and is a nice, responsive horse to ride.

Bobby

Born: 2019

Height: 15.2hh

Black Irish Cob

Bobby is our largest weight bearing horse. He's an old head on young shoulders with beautiful manners. This gentle giant has a sweet nature and caring and steady with his riders.

Hector

Born: 2016

Height: 13.2hh

Black Fell Pony

Hector is our resident cheeky Chappy. He's nice and forward and responsive. He's excellent for independent riders. His best friend is Bobby who looks out for him in the field. Hector loves his treats and rolling around in the mud!

Bo Peep

Born: 2012

Height: 11.3hh

Bo peep is our sweet girl, she goes nicely forward and listens to her rider.

Sge is gentle and patient and will happily stand and wait for her riders.

Star

Born: 2011

Height: 12.2hh

Star is a cheeky little pony but steady and tolerant. He's not phased by anything always remaining calm and patient
